Ryan Kane and Nicole Bosley will compete in the Kiwanis Rocky Mountain District's Division 1 Stars of Tomorrow on April 10 in Worland after winning first and second place, respectively, in Division IV (for pupils in ninth through 12th grades) in the Sheridan Kiwanis Club's Stars of Tomorrow contest Friday at the WYO Theater.
Ryan performed a piano solo, "Hungarian," and Nicole performed a gymnastics dance to "We Like to Party."
Third place in Division IV went to Whitney Board and Rachel Kawulok for their dance duet to "Barbie Girl." Whitney and Rachel serve as alternates and would compete in Worland if Ryan or Nicole were unable.
Other winners selected Friday include:
Division I (kindergarten through third grade) first, Jordan Skovgard, vocal solo, "American Tears"; second, Emilee Hutchinson, vocal solo, "A Few of My Favorite Things"; third, Morgan Parker, vocal solo, "Reflections."
Division II (fourth-sixth grades) first, Alaina Fiedor and Jordan Marzilli-Quintana, dance duet, "Cha-Cha"; second, Nathan Kane, piano solo, "The Great Smoky Mountains"; third, Tyler Rogers, piano solo, "Rowdy Rodeo."
Division III (seventh and eighth grades) first, Althea Wallop, vocal solo, "Over the Rainbow"; second, Whitney Welch, piano solo, "Bumble Boogie"; third, Pamela Jensik, piano/vocal solo, "From a Distance."
