Noon — Welcome to FAB Women’s Conference and lunch

12:45 p.m. — Keynote address

    Karen McNenny — Wonder Woman Wants a Day Off:

How do you deal with difficult situations, cranky people and bad hair days?  Wouldn’t it be nice to have some super powers? This humorous and poignant presentation brings to life the paradox and struggles of so many women as they manage work, home and personal preservation. Learn how to balance the passion and commitment you bring to your life, while protecting your sanity and health.  Karen will share her top superhero strategies to help you move from burn out to burn bright (no cape required).

1:45 p.m. — SESSION ONE (choose one)

• 5 experts, 5 ideas : Join five local experts as they give tangible advice on building a better resume, negotiating, volunteerism, running for office and creating and sticking to your personal mission statement.


• Mrs. Fix-It: Join local experts as they show you how to become the master of your own to-do lists. Presentations will include bicycle maintenance, leaky sinks/faucets and how to wire a lamp.

3 p.m. — SESSION TWO (choose one)

•  Community is the CURE – to everything with Karen McNenny:  Now, more than ever, it is essential to create community in our lives.  It is through personal connection that we develop the greatest potential for personal and professional prosperity.  Karen will examine the four cornerstones of creating meaningful community:  Curiosity – Unity – Responsibility – Engagement.  She will also identify the importance of developing a healthy workplace community where abundance thinking can drive out scarcity behaviors.

• Need for networking 


• Food and you: A panel of health experts

5 p.m. — Nonprofit speed dating: Meet five of our community’s nonprofit organizations to learn what kind of work they do and the kind of volunteers they need.

 5:15 p.m. — Cocktails, live music and networking

Woman of the Year Banquet — 6 p.m.

This FABulous dinner will be held to recognize each of the nominees for the third-annual FAB Woman of the Year.

The winner of this year’s award will also be announced.
