The size of each day's paper and how busy the server is will determine download time. This will vary from about 7 to 15 minutes on average if you are using a 56k modem. Persons using high speed internet connections will will experience much faster downloads. Larger papers will be broken into multiple sections to help with download times.

NOTICE: to our online subscribers and potential subscribers, it has come to our attention that you may have trouble downloading files if you have your internet security turned on. If you have any problems use the following direct link to the files first, www.thesheridanpress.net/today/welcome2.htm if this does not work then temporarily turn off your internet security and your downloads should work just fine.
If you still have problems try:
Increasing the download cache to at least 5 mb.
Make sure you are able to accept a cookie from this site.
Empty the internet temp folder on your system.
If given the choice to save the file, save it to your desktop and open the file after it has downloaded. When you are finished reading the file you can place it in the trash and empty the trash to delete it.
You may also click with the right mouse button on the link you wish to download, it should give you a choice of what to do with the file. Select save target file as. This choice will then allow you to save the file to a location on your computer, select the desktop. When it finishes downloading it will allow you to close the download window. Quit your browser and double click the file you just downloaded and it should open and allow you to read it. When you are done drag the file to your recycle bin to delete it.
