NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETINGThe City of Sheridan, Wyoming, will conduct a public meeting at 12:00 P.M. local time, on May 20, 2021, in the Council Chambers located at 55 Grinnell Plaza, Sheridan, WY. The purpose of this meeting is to allow citizens to review and comment on the North Heights Project. At the meeting, the City will present and discuss the project background and estimated cost of the improvements and the plan for funding the improvements. The existing water lines in the North Heights Neighborhood were installed in 1979 and 1980 and are made of Ductile Iron Pipe (DIP). Throughout the years, there have been numerous breaks and leaks as a result of corrosion of the DIP. Work on this project will include trenching in the existing, previously disturbed Right-of-Way to replace the deteriorating pipes with new PVC piping and all appurtenances.Based on current cost estimates, the City plans to borrow $2,730,000 from the Wyoming Drinking Water State Revolving Loan Fund administered by the Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments. Water Enterprise and Capital Facilities Tax funds will repay the loan. Loan terms will be 1.25% interest rate and 20 years with a request for principal forgiveness.Written comments are also welcome.
